For our final event in November, we have our special way to say Goodbye to this beloved month. I am glad to announce NYEBN partners with Highbar to host this great VIP networking reception. See details below:

1. What is the theme?

Business oriented. Please make sure you at least represent an industry. Provide us your full name and the corresponding industries you represent when you RSVP.

2. Is the venue setup appropriate for business theme?

No worries. Music, lighting, and many others have all been taken care of. Venue is exclusively available for NYEBN members. So just bring yourself and friends (+1 maximum) and enjoy the fabulous time:) Spread the word!

3. What should I be aware of if I plan to attend this event?

I. Please note only NYEBN members on the RSVP list are granted with free admissions. Our spots are usually filled up quickly. So if you are available and you've decided to come, by all means, RSVP right away. But remember to change your RSVP if things happen that prevent your from coming to this function.

II. If you do not RSVP or you do not belong to NYEBN, it's $10 for admissions unless you are coming as a registered guest.

III. Bring your ID and ensure you are at least 21.

IV. Print out the ticket to speed up the admission process. Click here to see a sample of the admission ticket.

V. Drink specials - Cash bar. $5 Beer, $7 Wine, $9 Well Drinks. Mention NYEBN to get this special price.

4. Can we become featured vendors for this event?

Nov. 13 Update: All vendors have confirmed their attendance for this event. There are no available spots left. Here is a short vendor list. For a more specific version, go to http://bit.ly/1VLQ4f...

1. Reiko Kawamoto, Kaoru Kashima, & Yukari Spadoni - Nu Skin/Pharmanex brand

2. Lucette Calas, Jason Fitz, & Ray Nelson - AXA Advisors, LLC

3. JOAN SIREFMAN - Arbonne - Botanically based skin care & nutrition

4. Bryan Rivera (Owner), & Christina Nitschmann (Sales rep) - Windtee.com Aviation T-Shirt Art!

5. Jill Hamer - Foreclosure Prevention

6. Constance Drew - Global Visionary Startup Services

5. Will bad weather affect our event?

No. The rooftop is heated. Unless you want to go out to smoke a cigarette, you are pretty much isolated from the weather, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a tour outside since the rooftop oversees Times Square and the Hudson. Highbar is a bilevel venue, including the sleek downstairs VIP lounge loft space. On Nov. 30th, NYEBN members will have exclusive access to both levels.

Update: The Shaq Photography will be shooting photos for us. Then they will upload them somewhere for us to download. Thank Shaq Photography for their contribution. Here is what they do:

"Shaq Photography provides commercial photography services for small, medium and large organizations. From executive & environmental portraits, to products (including fashion, food and jewelry) and corporate event photography. Clients include major players in the hightech, healthcare, fashion and manufacturing sectors, as well as nonprofit organizations and political campaigns. From attire to attitude, only experienced photographers are assigned to cover your event, providing a winning combination of creativity and quality. Special Offer: NYEBN ACTIVE members are eligible for a 10% discount on services (offer may be withdrawn at any time without prior notice)"

Note: Congratulations to Angela China, Melanie Scharler, and Joan Sirefman for winning the prizes for NYEBN's first contest we had last week. Hope three of you all enjoyed the Content Revenue Strategies conference and received valuable information from it. To all, I appreciate your dedication to forming a strong entrepreneur community at NYEBN.

I thought the group was high powered and full of determination and energy... the perfect combination for success! I look forward to meeting up again! I'm on twitter @zanade

Who attended?

  • 323 attendees
    •  I thought the environment was great, some parts were a little crowded, but the atmosphere was very nice. I felt bad for some of the vendors because their displays were not easily accessible or visible to everyone.
    • Joseph Lee (+1 guest)
Great. I would come back to Highbar again.
    •  Andrew..has done it again. The matching industry lists were a big hit.
    •  Very High End crowd. Lots of top professionals in every field.
    •  Very interesting. Nice way to meet other business owners.
    •  The venue was at very convenient location and it was well attended. For those of us who went to the lower level, we had the whole area to ourselves so it was fantastic.
    • Tracie (+1 guest)
It was great I came away with good contacts and got a chance to speak with the elusive Andrew Wong again. It was a great evening. Traci

There was a mixed crowd offering different levels of networking opportunities: strategic partners, potential clients, etc.
    •  The place was packed so it got hot, loud and noisy. It was so well attended that it's not hard to overlook any discomfort. I give it 4 1/2 stars.
    • Eldonie Mason, Esq. (+1 guest)
       Too crowded, but good otherwise
    •  Nice mix of people. Met a number of people that I will certainly be doing business with in the future. (On the negative side, directions to the lower floor were not clearly marked, so everyone gathered upstairs, with very little room to move, while the downstairs bar was empty and unmanned.) But, overall, a great networking event.
    • Joan (+1 guest)
With so many people it's impossible to talk to everyone. I had a table, but it wasn't until it emptied out a little that people started coming over. Over all I got a few names - that's what counts! Also, for an event that runs from 6 - 9:30, there needs to be some food!
    •  I thought that with the Nor'easter moving in, we'd have a poor turnout. What a misconception that was! Everyone there appeared to have had a great time and left with pockets full of contacts' cards. The ambiance was incredible -- the attendees were very much into meeting each other. This might have been one of the best events so far!
    • Shayna McDonough (+1 guest)
This was my first event and I thought it was very successful. I have been to events (although on a much smaller scale) where they had ice breaker activities so that people were not just randomly walking up to other people. While I understand networking is about putting yourself out there, it can also be effective to have an MC or facilitator guide the process. This way, the event is structered to generate genuine connections and not just chance meetings when two people happened to be walking by each other. One event assigned numbers to each name from 1 to 5. For instance all of the 1's (2s, 3's etc...)were directed to find each other and introduce them selves. Then after a while the MC announced that 1's should find the 3's and introduce themselves and so on and so fourth. Perhaps the number system can be arranged by industry. Just a thought, other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my first event. Thank You.

Great Venue. On second thought, it would have been better to have displays downstairs.
    • Lou Sarmiento (+1 guest)
My guest and I enjoyed this meet very much. We met many entrepreneurs and exchaned contact information as we got to hear what they do- great to improve your business tactics. Great job Andrew and team!!
    •  Dynamic and welcoming group of entrepreneurs.
    •  As usual Andrew had a GREAT turn out. The venue was nice and upscale...however it was way too small for the amount of people that showed up. It was cold out so the outside areas could not be used and everyone was crowded into the indoor space. THe large crowd also made it very loud. If the weather were warmer and the outdoor spaces could have been used it would have been perfect.
    •  Lots of entrepreneurs, beautiful space, good information for contacts - 5 stars - NYEBN does it again!
    •  Five stars. Superior effort by Andrew and all of his associates. Andrew is really concerned about each attendee having an enjoyable experience and gaining an immediate tangible benefit. Best networking event that I have been too. I have suggestions that might make the next one even better and I am sure Andrew and I will talk about them because Andrew has the key chain I gave him for the many virtual keys that I expect him to receive. It's the effort not the [immediate] result! Howard

Keep up the good work. The creative minds of NY Metro is critical to our economy. Look forward to seeing many of the members interviewed on CNBC Business in 2010.
    •  It was better than expected. Made some excellent contacts for my business. Everyone was friendly and approachable. Lots of professional people to network with.
