This will be our biggest party of the year. I appreciate all your efforts in building this community together with us. So let's all come out to celebrate our last event in 2009 along with other fearless entrepreneurs. See details below:
1. What is the theme?
Business/social oriented . Since this is meant to be a holiday party, we are not so strict with the dress code. But make sure you bring enough business cards. Also specify your industry and your full name when you RSVP. All questions need to be answered to complete your registration.
2. How is the venue?
Scroll down to see venue descriptions and pics. Our group will have exclusive access to both the main floor and the rooftop. The venue settings will be fit for our networking purposes. Make a note our event starts at 5:30 PM this time, and it ends at 9 PM. They will probably turn up the music after 9 PM. Just make sure everyone is aware of that.
3. How much does it cost to attend?
It costs $0 if you are a member and you are on the RSVP list. Otherwise, it's $10 per person. As a NYEBN member, you can bring up to 2 more guests without extra charge. Make sure you RSVP early if you wanted to come. You probably know better than me how fast our events usually get filled up.

5. Do we have drink specials?
Absolutely. This will probably be the cheapest bargain out of all our events this year. The happy hour drink specials include $5 beer and $5 wine. And everything else is $2 off the regular price. The NYEBN happy hour is from 6-8pm. So don't miss that time for sure.
6. What should I be aware of if I plan to attend this event?
I. Be ready to embrace new things. As an uprising group, we are doing different things to improve the quality of our events. I may have something to surprise you this time.
II. Bring your ID. You need to be at least 21 to attend.
III. Print out the ticket to speed up the admission process. Click here to see a sample of the admission ticket.
IV. Be in the know that the rooftop is heated. And we won't get interrupted by bad weather as well.
V. Spread the word! And have fun:-)
7. Thank our sponsor Build a Stronger America.
Eighty percent of Americans believe the U.S. economy has been—and will continue to be—built by entrepreneurs. It is up to entrepreneurs to lead the way to an economic recovery. To move forward, entrepreneurs need:
- Better access to credit;
- Cut payroll taxes to create and save jobs;
- Tax reform;
- “Entrepreneur's Visas" that enable non-U.S. native college and university graduates to create new jobs now.
The Kauffman Foundation is working to educate government officials about the importance of entrepreneurs and small businesses in our economy. Sign your name in support: Build A Stronger America, The Entrepreneurs’ Movement.
8. More details about the Delancey
NY Magazine Description:
"The Delancey is that rare breed—a shockingly nice rock club without the velvet-rope hassle of spots like Eleven and Plaid. And this three-level playground provides a variety of spaces for disparate Lower East Side elements to mix it up. During summer months, the rooftop is the main draw—while a bouncer guards the staircase leading up to the roof, he's there to guard against overcrowding, not to grade your outfit. It's worth the wait: Unlike lots of bars that hype their tar roofs as "al fresco," this rooftop actually has it going on in a palm-fronded, South Beach sort of way, with benches, fountains, even a BBQ. The main floor, meanwhile, has a cool grotto vibe and a décor that's equal parts exposed brick and sleek wooden slats. Here, a DJ holds court on most nights, playing a mix of rock and disco, while a competent bartender pours $6 pints of Stella Artois to downtowners with overwrought hairstyles. And then there's the basement performance space: Reminiscent of the old Coney Island High, it's populated by punk-rock revivalists in all-black clothing. But unlike that decrepit club, this music venue is actually nice, equipped with a cool sound system and even cooler AC."
