On October 21st, business leaders from across New England will gather at the world famous Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for the New York Xpo for Business. The New York Entrepreneur Network has become a proud supporter of this 4th annual event, which is expected to draw upwards of 16,000 attendees and over 400 exhibits to become the largest business-to-business marketplace in the Northeast. The show is focused on connecting professionals with new ideas and leading companies that offer unique solutions to running effective, stable and profitable businesses.

The Xpo will take place Wednesday, October 21st 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mark your calendar if you want to attend. Registration is now open at http://eventmanagemen.... You must register at the URL provided above to receive the free ticket.

Interested In Exhibiting?

From a business development perspective the Xpo is a great opportunity for you to network, advertise and sell your products/services to thousands of Connecticut, New York and New Jersey owners, operators and corporate executives. Only 300 companies and organizations will have a rare opportunity to secure exhibit space in front of these top level executives and award winning professionals. There are only 20 booths left as of Aug. 13th.

We have discounts for all NYEN members. If you consider becoming an exhibitor, please call Devin Cleary at [masked]; ext. 201 ([masked]) to request pricing information. Please make sure you have the promotional code NYCNETWORK09 ready before you call to receive discount.

Attendee Demographics: DECISION MAKERS!

• 45% = Owner, President or CEO
• 38% = Senior Level Management (i.e. CFO’s, CMO’s, COO’s, VP’s, Principals, etc.)

Event Schedule:

The show begins with Kick-Off Business Breakfast as the opening special event. It will start the day and deliver thousands of attendees to the executive show floor. However, to contain traffic flow, Event Management will build education theatres directly on the floor with over 36 individual quality sessions running throughout the day in eight discipline-focused meeting rooms. Complimentary education will cover sales, marketing, advertising, best business practices, management, international trade and much more!

Next, The Wall Street Journal will host the official show luncheon drawing upwards of 1,000 additional attendees to the event. More education classes continue to ensure heavy traffic throughout the afternoon, which leads into the After-Hours Networking Reception.

Great event! Great seminars! I've talked to most of the exhibiting vendors and developed some great relationships! Hope you've also done the same. We will promote similar events in the future and let you cash in on opportunities like this!

I am excited about this event. Business cards and flyers/pamphlets will be at the ready. Just too bad this is a one day only event. It should be a weekend like the black expo.

First, I want to thank Andrew for extending to me the offer to share a booth with his group. It was an amazing experience and one that I will want to repeat every year. The opportunity to share ideas and see all the different vendors and contact with so many people was amazing. I met a lot of really interesting people and hopefully, new clients and business partners. I will say that the Javits Center price gouging was a turn off...$20 for a roll of tape!!! I mean are you serious? But that had nothing to do with the expo, just the venue. I recommend that everyone that has a business, should think about the expo as a platform to network with other like minded business people. Besides, you never know what you can teach or learn from others unless you're there.
    •  Lots of exposure to interesting companies and ideas for small business, but the acoustics in each of the meeting rooms was horrible. The speakers had to shout to be heard.
    •  Need for more vendors. Very long wait in order to get name adge.
    •  The speaker lineup was very good. I would suggest repeating some of the talks at 2 different times so that if a person wanted to attend two different topics and they were being presented at the same time, they could go to one and then attend the other at the different time. Also, it would be better to have the speakers present in rooms that could be isolated from each other. The areas were only separated by curtains so the sound carried from one are to the other.
    •  There were alot of vendors with some great products and services. I found the seminars to be very informative and would definately attend another one. Thanks Andrew for telling us about it.
    •  Excellent format to meet other entrepreneurial minded people. Andrew's group is really developing into a great resource. Thanks Andrew.

We had a booth and expected 10 to 15 requests for proposals. We ended up with over 100. 500 business cards. Our booth was a huge success.
    •  There should have been a meetup at 7:30 before the expo. It would have been a great kickoff for the show. There was an eclectic collection of booths many different types of businesses. There are not many shows like that. The seminars I attended varied enormously in quality. One was excellent. Two had some decent information, one was boring (I left).
    •  My company has been here for several years, but it did not require for me to network in the U.S. until now, so this whole networking concept is new to me. As for networking, I did not think I was the right place, but I learned a lot of new marketing strategies and negotiation by attending seminars in the event.
