Sponsor - Build a Stronger America

Eighty percent of Americans believe the U.S. economy has been—and will continue to be—built by entrepreneurs. It is up to entrepreneurs to lead the way to an economic recovery. To move forward, entrepreneurs need:

  • Health care reform;
  • Better access to credit;
  • Cut payroll taxes to create and save jobs;
  • Tax reform;
  • “Entrepreneur's Visas" that enable non-U.S. native college and university graduates to create new jobs now.

The Kauffman Foundation is working to educate government officials about the importance of entrepreneurs and small businesses in our economy. Sign your name in support: Build A Stronger America, The Entrepreneurs’ Movement.

    It's not always true that "you get what you pay for." This was a free day of seminars that was worth more that others' I've attended. I learned something valuable from all the speakers especially Malea, Brian and Andrew. Melea made the case for why and how anyone can have an interesting blog. Brian really made the case for why and how anyone, with the correct training, can spot and take advantage of opportunities on the market and Andrew walked us through understanding and using Twitter.

    Melea, thanks. I enjoyed every single minute of yesterday's seminar. Hopefully, we will absorb what is valuable of this event and create even more worthwhile and innovative seminars/workshops for NYEBN members in the year of 2010.

    Cheers,

    Thank you, Andrew, for the opportunity to speak at your speaker series. Your audience was smart, attentive, and thankfully laughed at my jokes. Thanks so much for putting this together. I look forward to seeing what we can create together in 2010!
    And Thank you Bill Ades for the kind words below...

    Many thanks Andrew. Your presentation on Twitter was very informative and thorough. I feel like I'm understanding it much better and your insights are always a great help. I missed two of the speakers but Melea's presentation on blogging was very helpful. It is a lot to cover in only an hour and we should definitely have more sessions on blogging.
    Many thanks to Brian Zen on his presentation. Also a lot of material and I look forward to hearing him more. thanks again

    Andrew and I are working hard to make this one of our best learning event ever in the dynamic NYEBN! Most of you are building a small family business. And that's how Warren Buffett started, from his bedroom! We'll share groundbreaking insights how you can exercise your money mind, install a financial calcultor in your kids' brains, and how your kids could help you and surpass you to become the next Warren Buffett. Who attended?

  • 97 attendees
    •  very basic information for beginners. I think the main problem was that there was a mixed level of knowledge in the crowd.
    •  The sessions were very good, although a few were a tad too sponsor/sales oriented to the audience.
    •  All the speakers imparted useful information than can be applied immediately to most businesses. Thanks for speaking and organizing Andrew.
    •  The event had such a great agenda that I decided to travel from Danbury, CT. The speakers were very good and there was time to network. I met Tevye Brown from WebTreeMarketing.com and for my surprise, he called one of his contacts who became my first business lead at the event. I already spoke with one of the speakers and will be contacting another one soon. I got a lot of useful information for my business. I am looking forward to attending more events.
    •  Excellent speakers and a lot of interesting, useful and to the point information
    •  Like the diversity about the speakers. Would like to see longer sessions on Twitter and blogging being incorporated into future seminars.
    • Campaign Director, AdzZoo
       I thought Andrew's presentation on Twitter was very informative and helpful, and Malea's presentation of blogging was excellent. I did not like Eric's presentation at all. Although the information made sense I thought he was a terrible speaker and found him annoying. The speaker on security was also very good (a little too short possibly). I did not care for Prof. Zen and his first slide had an error which I thought was ironic. From 1919 to 1998 is a difference of 79 years, not 89.
    •  Excellent seminars -- speakers were extremely interesting and informative.
    •  All the speakers were good and I took a lot of notes.
    •  Tremendous VALUE with the info. presented about SocialMedia, Online Marketing & Financial info. - topics everyone needs to be informed about. 1 of the best learning experiences that NYEBN has offered! There have been others of equal value, but this probably had most value, as there was the more time for each topic, than any previous NYEBN event had given time for.
    • Tom
       Speakers were very knowledgable and experts in the field. This is a great series.
